Now by quarantined, which is a new word added to my dictionary now , I don’t mean the literal quarantined,I mean the have to stay at home and not go anywhere unless required quarantined! You know ,I rarely binge watch series since I’m so busy going out and being busy, but now, I wake up to a holiday from college for two weeks,if not more later! There are WhatsApp group discussions, news screenshots ,debating, videos on what to eat to boost immunity, and a whole lot of chaos. Well ,you know why there’s more chaos , because everyone is at home or the hostels! You have to see their faces everyday now and deal with them 24x7!You can’t even leave the house after an argument (but if you do want to, wear a mask and carry a hand sanitizer along.)

Three days of holiday (quarantine) feels like I’m stuck on a flight, since I’m non-stop binge watching shows with my headphones on and then take bathroom breaks then I’m back to binge watching again.Except that I can step out of the plane without falling down and have bigger windows to look out of .And a living room. And a terrace. And a closet.(no use of doing all the sale shopping) And a kitchen. I didn’t mention eating food did I? That’s the most important part.Thankfully, some restaurants are still open to have some different food, but ideally they should close too.Cook your own food ,no excuse now ,that’s what moms say : ) .But we order anyway.Wait. Isn’t there a work-from-home for everybody? Nope, there isn’t a work-from-home for the e-commerce delivery employees. So just take a moment to thank all of those that are still working for us and putting themselves at risk to ensure that we are safe. And the doctors. It makes sense for them to be at work right? I feel they are like an army right now, creating borders for us and standing in the not- so-safe zones to fight the virus and not let it get to us. There are warnings and articles and videos written for this very purpose now . It’s for a reason. So that we don’t get into the not-so-safe zone! I mean, they are risking their lives out there, thus their purpose would be fulfilled if we listen to them and stay safe.

Let’s try and stay sane here, we are in quarantine. Also, it’s really kind of unbelievable what is happening. Would anyone possibly expect that the whole world would have to be in a lockdown for a good one-third of a year at least? I still think to myself ,’ Is this really happening or I’m just in a dream?’ . In fact, I’m surprised that I don’t feel that anxious for these few days, because I’m not around many people.Though I’m anxious about what will happen when I do have to be around alot of people once again! But as of now, the anxiety and depression triggers at times. I’ve been dealing with it since a few years and it’s getting alot better day by day.But because of this isolation and all the panic around, anyone can develop mental health issues. That’s why it’s very important to take care of your mental health and hence, the internet is so useful! Use social media and your phone to call people. Video call people, Skype, do anything you want! But keep in touch.Put that self-care mask which was waiting for summer vacation to be put on.

This is a temporary period though,so peacefully think of some things you would want to add to your bucket list. And do those things if they are possible indoors. I’ve added blogging to my list, now that I have more time on my hands.Stay tuned for more articles about alot of things, not the virus,I know you and I have been reading and hearing more than enough about that already! This is just a start let’s see what happens.Just be happy and healthy everyone,we will get through this soon : )
